Dichroic Glass Redwood Tree Pendant

This is a pendant with a Redwood Tree design made with fused dichroic glass .Dichroic is a term for the colorful, sparkly, space-age coating, and it means "2 color" in latin, which perfectly describes the color shift you can observe when viewing the pendant from different angles. The pendants are made with a process called fusing, which means the glass is cut, layered, and fused in on a kiln. All of them have the sterling silver bail fused right into the finished product, Glue is not used. The patterns are made by etching away the dichroic coating to reveal the black glass underneath.
